Hive Strap

Around here, a good nor'easter can topple a hive even in a sheltered area.  Even strapped, a hive can tip but the strap can mean the difference between an intact hive or brood and bees lying out in the rain all night.  We keep our hives strapped all winter long and this strap is 14' so it can handle a summer hive stacked with supers.

Put one on when the weather is nice, then when storms come you can pour yourself a nice glass of mead and be content to know you can check on your hive when the wind stops blowing.
