Hive Top Feeder

This is our absolute favorite way to get syrup on a hive in Maine.  The times of year when we need to feed light hives can experience very cold nights.  With this design you don't end up with a big cold mass right on top of the nest.

Holds 58 ounces - good for 2-3 days of spring feeding; in the fall light hives can take down and store a full feeder per day.  Put it on top of the inner cover and enclose it with an empty deep or 2 medium supers and robbing isn't an issue.  The bees work the syrup wonderfully and you never have to worry about the feeder leaking all over the broodnest.

The feeder is just under 9" in height and 5" wide.
